The Cake Box was originally opened in Woodstock, NY in the 1960’s and has enjoyed an enviable reputation for fine cakes, pastries and cookies, it was purchased in 1993 by Walter Swarthout, a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. By 2001, we had outgrown our original location on Rt. 28 and moved to our beautiful art deco building in historic Kingston, NY. We have continued to evolve into a full service bakery and cafe, serving our popular cakes, cookies and pastries along with a simple sandwich, salad and soup menu.
