In the era when Nirvana killed the hopes and dreams of big hair metal, a small classic rock cover band emerged from the onion fields of a quaint and charming town in Orange County, Ny. What started as jamming in a barn off the side of Pulaski Highway eventually propelled Tangent into full fledged Local Rock God Status. Performing in local bars, at weddings, and even bar-mitzvahs (just kidding!) the band quickly acquired a mass following. The bands originall members consisted of Michael Gailie (vocals), Vick Kleiner (lead guitar), Ed Lepski (bass guitar), Terry Mcdonough (Keyboard), and Peter Wanczyk (drums).
As the cliche goes, people come and people go. The band proudly welcomed the talent of Michael Lerose (lead guitar) and Lenny Nayda(drums), who to this day have become part of the brotherhood and family that is Tangent.
Tangent has been a staple at local gigs including the Florida Family Fun Fest, Florida Fire Department Halloween Party, Pine Island Summer Fest, and of course Pennings Farm Market Barn Parties.
They continue to tour across the county and have an ever growing fan base, which is what keeps the band going. They love what they do and they rock in ways that is difficult for the human mind to comprehend.
