For more than 20 years Steve Morrison and Sterling Cellars has been the destination for those residents of Westchester and Putnam Counties (in the northern New York City Metro region) who appreciate fine wine and spirits offered at very attractive prices.
Over the years Sterling Cellars has migrated from the western end of a shopping center (where it occupied just over 1,000 sq. ft. to the middle of the center and a much larger facility before settling nearly a decade ago in its current location.
Sterling Cellars, throughout its entire history has been an anchor of The Mahopac Village Center in Mahopac, is a nearly 10,000 square ft. retail outlet, with a cigar shop through an adjoining door, and a temperature and humidity controlled Fine Wine Room maintaining more than 5,000 bottles in pristine conditions.
Sterling Cellars hosts nearly many tastings each year ranging from small events most Friday and Saturdays to benefit tastings in support of local theater; dance; athletic; and educational programs; and multiple large tastings offering patrons an opportunity to sample hundreds of new products and new vintages each year.
