Hiring a professional photographer is not about having a photo taken… anyone can do that. It’s how your portraits will make you, your children and grandchildren feel in 20, 50 or 80 years from now. The fine art of photography, retouching and printing has turned into quick snaps with little to no thought put into them before, during or after they’re taken. The art of customer service is all but gone. The majority is content with looking at their photos on a screen a few times, counting the ‘likes’ and quickly forgetting about them (or losing them!)… if they do print, it’s typically on poor quality paper that is not archival, with bad color, contrast and sharpness. Why? What’s the point? For photos of your Halloween party or summer barbeque this might be fine… but for the big moments and for the point of preserving your most precious memories for generations, so much more thought and care should be put into them. The most photographed generation in history will have no photos if we keep going down this path. Do you remember being a kid and thumbing through your parents’ and grandparents’ albums? Do you remember how special you felt seeing your portraits proudly displayed on their walls? Do you remember the last time that you were treated to great customer service? THAT is what I believe in. THAT is what I want for you and for the future generations.
